Australian Man dies 8 days after an AstraZeneca Vaccine

An Australian man, Darren Lee Missen, 55 from Tamworth, reportedly died last week, about eight days after receiving the Astra Zeneca vaccine.

Friends posted on social media that Mr Missen was fit and healthy before his death.

A 71-year-old Sydney man with a blood clotting disorder also died days after receiving the AstraZeneca vaccine.

The vaccine has been linked to a rare but severe blood clotting condition called thrombosis (blood clots) with thrombocytopenia (very low platelets).

In early April, another Australian, a 48 year old woman, Genene Norris from the New South Wales Central Coast, died a few days after receiving the Astra Zeneca jab. She too died of blood clotting.
